Trachyandra tortilis An rarely seen geophytic Aloe/Haworthia relative from South Africa. The plant produces green, wavy leaves. Under the soil is a narrow tuber. Produces white flowers. Easy to grow. This is a winter grower which is active from late summer/early fall until late spring. It will go completely dormant in the summer and die down to the soil. Keep dry in summer until it starts growing again in the fall. Water regularly during the growing season. Protect from frost.
