Tephrocactus articulatus v. inermis An unusual purplish gray cactus with egg or sausage shaped stems. New stems are jointed and give a unique look to the plant. This is a close relative of Tephrocactus geometricus and differs mainly in having elongated stems instead of round ones. This is the spineless form of the species. Easy to grow. Give good light and protect from frost. It seems a little more rot prone than the average cactus, but isn't something you should be concerned about. Just make sure the soil is nearly dry between waterings.
Please note: Joints break off very easily. I'll do my best to pack it carefully but it is still possible an arm breaks off in shipping. If that happens just stick the arm in a pot of cactus soil and it will root and grow into another plant. Because of how easily this happens I cannot guarantee against the arm breaking off in shipping.
You will receive a plant shown in the last image. Plant shown in a 3.5" pot.
Important Shipping Information
- PLANTS ARE SHIPPED BARE ROOT If you want me to send them in pots send me a message to discuss. Extra charges due to increased shipping costs will apply.
- Immediate Payment (eBay only) Sorry! I can no longer offer a delayed purchase option as the multichannel inventory management system I have started using requires this setting.
- No Delayed Shipping (eBay only) Once you pay I have to (and WILL) ship within 3 business days or eBay will lower my seller rating. I used to have a way to delay shipping but can no longer do this for the same reason as #2 above. Feel free to message me before buying to see if we can figure something out here, no promises though.
- Winter Shipping If you live in a cold climate consider including a 96 hour heat pack in your order during the cold months. I have them as a listing. Just add it to your order. If you don’t see them just message me.
