Senecio herreanus   A strange member of the daisy family that grows as a hanging vine.  Yes, this plant is related to daises, sunflowers, and even lettuce!  It forms numerous thin green stems covered in oval shaped purple to green succulent leaves.  In time it will fill out a hanging basket. These stems can easily get several feet long.  Produces small white flowers throughout the growing season.

Easy to grow. Likes bright shade or maybe morning sun. Prone to sunburn in full hot sun. Water only when the soil is nearly dry. The stems root easily so if you ever have a problem with root rot or you just want to trim up the plant then put the cut stems in soil and you'll have new plants.  Protect from frost.

You can see in the pictures that some plants are purple. This takes a bit of work to achieve as it is green for most people. Basically, you want to give it as much light and sun as you can without burning the plant.  Being stingy with the water also seems to help, though that will make it grow slower. Expect your plant to be green when you receive it.

You will receive a plant shown in the last image or one similar.   It is shown  growing in a 3.5" pot.

4. Winter Shipping If you live in a cold climate consider including a 96 hour heat pack in your order during the cold months. I have them as a listing. Just add it to your order. If you don’t see them just message me.
