Sarracenia x 'Catesbaei' Family: Sarraceniaceae A beautiful natural hybrid. The pitchers become very dark red to nearly black once they mature. Takes standard carnivorous plant care. Place in a tray of distilled water and give it plenty of light. Never let the plant dry out. Goes dormant in the winter. Can take light frost but protect from hard freezes.
These leaves are currently greenish red because they just came up. As temperatures warm and the sun gets stronger they will become the extremely dark color this variety is known for.
