Pygmaeocereus bieblii This Peru native is the smallest of the Cereoid cacti. The Cereus group are the tall columnar cacti most people know of through plants like the Saguaro, Organ Pipe Cactus, San Pedro, etc. Nearly all of them get much taller than a person, with some becoming giants. Then we have this cute little guy who decided to be different and stay under 6 inches despite belonging to the group!
The plant is green with white aeroles and stubby spines. It starts out globular and stays that way for a long time before slowly becoming slightly columnar (remember it stays pretty small). Produces big white flowers on a long tube. Easy to grow. Give good light but watch for sunburn in hot sun. Water as the soil is nearly dry. Keep dryer in winter. Protect from frost.
You will receive a plant shown in the 5th image. It is shown growing in a 3.5" pot. Last image shows the a mature plant.
Important Shipping Information
- PLANTS ARE SHIPPED BARE ROOT If you want me to send them in pots send me a message to discuss. Extra charges due to increased shipping costs will apply.
- Immediate Payment (eBay only) Sorry! I can no longer offer a delayed purchase option as the multichannel inventory management system I have started using requires this setting.
- No Delayed Shipping (eBay only) Once you pay I have to (and WILL) ship within 3 business days or eBay will lower my seller rating. I used to have a way to delay shipping but can no longer do this for the same reason as #2 above. Feel free to message me before buying to see if we can figure something out here, no promises though.
- Winter Shipping If you live in a cold climate consider including a 96 hour heat pack in your order during the cold months. I have them as a listing. Just add it to your order. If you don’t see them just message me.
Thank you!
