Matelea cyclophylla Also known as Gonolobus, this is a small caudiciform from Mexico that makes a long vine during the summer. The plant makes attractive maroon to black flowers when actively growing. It goes dormant in the winter with the vine dying back to the caudex. Easy to grow. Likes lots of light and will need some sort of pole or trellis for the vine to climb on. When actively growing should be watered before the soil dried out fully. Keep dry when dormant. Protect from frost.
You will receive a plant shown in image 7 (group photo) or one similar. Plant shown in a 3.5" pot. Last image shows a mature specimen.
Important Shipping Information
- PLANTS ARE SHIPPED BARE ROOT If you want me to send them in pots send me a message to discuss. Extra charges due to increased shipping costs will apply.
- Immediate Payment (eBay only) Sorry! I can no longer offer a delayed purchase option as the multichannel inventory management system I have started using requires this setting.
- No Delayed Shipping (eBay only) Once you pay I have to (and WILL) ship within 3 business days or eBay will lower my seller rating. I used to have a way to delay shipping but can no longer do this for the same reason as #2 above. Feel free to message me before buying to see if we can figure something out here, no promises though.
- Winter Shipping If you live in a cold climate consider including a 96 hour heat pack in your order during the cold months. I have them as a listing. Just add it to your order. If you don’t see them just message me.
Thank you!
