Lavrania haagerae  Family: Apocynaceae (Asclepidaceae). A rarely seen Stapeliad with scale like skin. The stems are thick and rounded and the plants gets 1-2' tall and produces many stems from the base in time. In higher light these plants can take on purple highlights, in shade they are green.  They can take some direct sun, but aren't full sun plants. Flowers are orange-yellow and red spotted. Takes normal succulent care. In my experience it is less prone to rot than most Stapeliads.  Protect from frost. Keep very dry in the winter unless you have good growing conditions.
