Huernia keniensis v. nairobiensis Family: Apocynaceae (Asclepidaceae). An attractive Stapeliad with 1" diameter bell shaped dark red to black flowers. The plant is small but clumps readily. Flowers are most common and numerous in the late summer and fall but can bloom any time of year if happy. They can take some direct sun, but aren't full sun plants. These flowers have no strong scent, so you don't have to worry about it stinking up your house (lots of Stapeliads smell like rotting meat). Takes normal succulent care. Protect from frost. Keep very dry in the winter unless you have good growing conditions. Stapeliads can be quite rot prone if kept too moist especially in the winter.
You will receive a plant shown in the last image or similar. Plants shown in a 4" pot.
Important Shipping Information
- PLANTS ARE SHIPPED BARE ROOT If you want me to send them in pots send me a message to discuss. Extra charges due to increased shipping costs will apply.
- Immediate Payment (eBay only) Sorry! I can no longer offer a delayed purchase option as the multichannel inventory management system I have started using requires this setting.
- No Delayed Shipping (eBay only) Once you pay I have to (and WILL) ship within 3 business days or eBay will lower my seller rating. I used to have a way to delay shipping but can no longer do this for the same reason as #2 above. Feel free to message me before buying to see if we can figure something out here, no promises though.
- Winter Shipping If you live in a cold climate consider including a 96 hour heat pack in your order during the cold months. I have them as a listing. Just add it to your order. If you don’t see them just message me.
