Fouquieria columnaris Family: Fouquieriaceae. The Boojum tree of Baja California. This is an unusual and distinctive species that makes a large central stem with numerous small lateral stems. Makes a great specimen plant in ground in mild climates or a good bonsai like succulent for pots. The are something of a winter grower, preferring to grow in cooler temperatures but could put on growth at any time of year. Likes bright light. Water regularly when actively growing. Protect from frost.
Please note: You may see some brown leaves in the pictures. The plants are fine. They regularly make new leaves, drop them, then make more throughout the year.
You will receive a plant shown in the 4th image or one similar. It is shown growing in a 4" pot. Last two images show mature plants.
Important Shipping Information
- PLANTS ARE SHIPPED BARE ROOT If you want me to send them in pots send me a message to discuss. Extra charges due to increased shipping costs will apply.
- Immediate Payment (eBay only) Sorry! I can no longer offer a delayed purchase option as the multichannel inventory management system I have started using requires this setting.
- No Delayed Shipping (eBay only) Once you pay I have to (and WILL) ship within 3 business days or eBay will lower my seller rating. I used to have a way to delay shipping but can no longer do this for the same reason as #2 above. Feel free to message me before buying to see if we can figure something out here, no promises though.
- Winter Shipping If you live in a cold climate consider including a 96 hour heat pack in your order during the cold months. I have them as a listing. Just add it to your order. If you don’t see them just message me.
