Echinocereus viridiflorus Family: Cactaceae. A small, attractive native US cactus with yellow-green flowers. The plant is short columnar, clumping, and rarely more than 6" tall. The spines are white and red.
One of the most notable feature of this species is its cold hardiness. This plant is native from northern Mexico all the way north to Wyoming. It is hardy to zone 4 (-30F). However, care should be taken in places with wet winters as it is most cold tolerant when dry. If you plan to grow it outdoors in a cold winter climate be sure to get it acclimatized to your climate by mid-summer to ensure it hardens off properly in the fall.
The plants in this listing have one or two pups forming, in contrast to my other listing which only have the main head.
You will receive a plant shown in the last image or one similar. Plants shown in a 4" pot.
Important Shipping Information
- PLANTS ARE SHIPPED BARE ROOT If you want me to send them in pots send me a message to discuss. Extra charges due to increased shipping costs will apply.
- Immediate Payment (eBay only) Sorry! I can no longer offer a delayed purchase option as the multichannel inventory management system I have started using requires this setting.
- No Delayed Shipping (eBay only) Once you pay I have to (and WILL) ship within 3 business days or eBay will lower my seller rating. I used to have a way to delay shipping but can no longer do this for the same reason as #2 above. Feel free to message me before buying to see if we can figure something out here, no promises though.
- Winter Shipping If you live in a cold climate consider including a 96 hour heat pack in your order during the cold months. I have them as a listing. Just add it to your order. If you don’t see them just message me.
