Echeveria agavoides 'Ebony' Family: Crassulaceae. One of the most prized Echeveria species! A nice and easy to grow species with narrow, pointed leaves. The tips of the leaves are dark red to nearly black. The rest of the leaf is bluish or grayish green. Plants pup readily and form clumps within a year or so. Easy to grow. Likes good light. Water like a regular succulent (when the soil is nearly dry, keep dryer in winter). Protect from frost.
These plants color up best in the winter. In the summer they are often more red and have less color overall.
This cultivar sold for ridiculous prices several years ago. It wasn't unusual to see it selling for $500 or more! It is still a rare variety but fortunately prices have come down to more affordable levels.
You will receive a plant shown in the last image. They are approximately 7" diameter and shown in 6" diameter pots.
Important Shipping Information
- PLANTS ARE SHIPPED BARE ROOT If you want me to send them in pots send me a message to discuss. Extra charges due to increased shipping costs will apply.
- Immediate Payment (eBay only) Sorry! I can no longer offer a delayed purchase option as the multichannel inventory management system I have started using requires this setting.
- No Delayed Shipping (eBay only) Once you pay I have to (and WILL) ship within 3 business days or eBay will lower my seller rating. I used to have a way to delay shipping but can no longer do this for the same reason as #2 above. Feel free to message me before buying to see if we can figure something out here, no promises though.
- Winter Shipping If you live in a cold climate consider including a 96 hour heat pack in your order during the cold months. I have them as a listing. Just add it to your order. If you don’t see them just message me.
