Acanthostachys pitcairnioides Family: Bromeliaceae An unusual terrestrial bromeliad that has narrow orange and green leaves. It looks more like a succulent than a typical bromeliad. Care is more similar to a succulent too. Plant in a succulent mix and water the soil when it is drying out. It takes up water from the roots not from the leaves like most bromeliads. Brighter light makes the leaves more orange. Protect from frost.
You will receive a plant shown in the last image or one similar. Plants shown in a 4" pot.
Important Shipping Information
- PLANTS ARE SHIPPED BARE ROOT If you want me to send them in pots send me a message to discuss. Extra charges due to increased shipping costs will apply.
- Immediate Payment (eBay only) Sorry! I can no longer offer a delayed purchase option as the multichannel inventory management system I have started using requires this setting.
- No Delayed Shipping (eBay only) Once you pay I have to (and WILL) ship within 3 business days or eBay will lower my seller rating. I used to have a way to delay shipping but can no longer do this for the same reason as #2 above. Feel free to message me before buying to see if we can figure something out here, no promises though.
- Winter Shipping If you live in a cold climate consider including a 96 hour heat pack in your order during the cold months. I have them as a listing. Just add it to your order. If you don’t see them just message me.
