Pachypodium lamerei Family: Apocynaceae. One of the largest species of Pachypodium. Commonly known as the Madagascar Palm, it can reach 20 feet tall or more in the wild, 10 feet or so in ground in cultivation (in frost free zones). In pots you can keep it around 3-5 feet tall. Not difficult to grow. Generally unbranched or with just a few branches. Can survive temperatures down to freezing, but prefers it a bit warmer in winter if possible (that is true for all Pachypodiums). Likes water during the growing season as long as it is in well drained soil. Should be kept fairly dry in the winter, especially after it drops its leaves.
You will receive a plant shown in the 4th image or one similar. Plants shown in a 4" pot. Last image shows a mature plant.
Important Shipping Information
- PLANTS ARE SHIPPED BARE ROOT If you want me to send them in pots send me a message to discuss. Extra charges due to increased shipping costs will apply.
- Immediate Payment (eBay only) Sorry! I can no longer offer a delayed purchase option as the multichannel inventory management system I have started using requires this setting.
- No Delayed Shipping (eBay only) Once you pay I have to (and WILL) ship within 3 business days or eBay will lower my seller rating. I used to have a way to delay shipping but can no longer do this for the same reason as #2 above. Feel free to message me before buying to see if we can figure something out here, no promises though.
- Winter Shipping If you live in a cold climate consider including a 96 hour heat pack in your order during the cold months. I have them as a listing. Just add it to your order. If you don’t see them just message me.
