Lapidaria margaretae Family: Aizoaceae. A cute mesemb with pale blue leaves with pink highlights. The individual leaves are club shaped and together form a cross shaped plant. Care is similar to a typical fleshy, Lithops like, mesembs. Overwatering is the biggest risk in growing these plants. Give water as the soil is about to dry out in the spring through early summer, and in the fall. Keep dryer in the winter and in very hot summer weather. Hot weather makes them and most mesembs go dormant, and wet roots during dormancy can lead to rot. Protect from frost.
