Cynanchum cf. socotranum . A strangely beautiful Stapeliad relative that looks like a bunch of gray dead sticks. The stems are fairly stiff but arch downwards and hang down, making it a great hanging basket plant. Several times a year it will make tiny yellow-orange flowers. If the stem is damaged or cut a white latex will bleed out. Easy to grow. Use a well draining mix and water when the soil is nearly dry. Water very little or not at all in the winter as it can be rot prone if kept moist during dormancy. This plant likes more shade than most succulents and can be grown in full but bright shade (do not put in full sun). Plant can be propagated from stem cuttings.
Note: I originally obtained this plant under the name C. socotranum but investigating it more I think that ID is likely incorrect. I haven't determined the correct name yet so am keeping this name for the time being. I will update the listing if I find a more accurate name.
You will receive a plant shown in the last image. Plant shown in a 3.5" pot.
Important Shipping Information
- PLANTS ARE SHIPPED BARE ROOT If you want me to send them in pots send me a message to discuss. Extra charges due to increased shipping costs will apply.
- Immediate Payment (eBay only) Sorry! I can no longer offer a delayed purchase option as the multichannel inventory management system I have started using requires this setting.
- No Delayed Shipping (eBay only) Once you pay I have to (and WILL) ship within 3 business days or eBay will lower my seller rating. I used to have a way to delay shipping but can no longer do this for the same reason as #2 above. Feel free to message me before buying to see if we can figure something out here, no promises though.
- Winter Shipping If you live in a cold climate consider including a 96 hour heat pack in your order during the cold months. I have them as a listing. Just add it to your order. If you don’t see them just message me.
Thank you!
