Albuca osmynella Family: Asparagaceae. A rarely seen succulent bulb from South Africa with thin curly-q leaves.  The bulb is green to white and can be grown with the tops above the soil. The bulb forms new bulblets regularly. You can leave them together to make a big clump or separate them to make new plants. Flowers are bright yellow and produced from mid-summer to early fall.  Easy to grow.  It is a winter grower so water regularly (in succulent terms) from fall until spring, then cut back in the summer until it starts to grow again.  It usually drops its leaves during the dormant period.  Protect from frost.

This species is just coming out of dormancy and it flowers first then puts out new leaves. The curly leaves will develop after flowering. The more sun it gets the curlier the leaves.

You will receive a plant shown in the last image or one similar. Plants shown in a 3" pot. These are very small plants.

Important Shipping Information

  1. PLANTS ARE SHIPPED BARE ROOT If you want me to send them in pots send me a message to discuss. Extra charges due to increased shipping costs will apply.
  2. Immediate Payment (eBay only) Sorry! I can no longer offer a delayed purchase option as the multichannel inventory management system I have started using requires this setting.
  3. No Delayed Shipping (eBay only) Once you pay I have to (and WILL) ship within 3 business days or eBay will lower my seller rating. I used to have a way to delay shipping but can no longer do this for the same reason as #2 above. Feel free to message me before buying to see if we can figure something out here, no promises though.
  4. Winter Shipping If you live in a cold climate consider including a 96 hour heat pack in your order during the cold months. I have them as a listing. Just add it to your order. If you don’t see them just message me.

Thank you!
