Commiphora wightii Family: Burseraceae. Young plants of this nice caudiciform woody shrub or small tree with peeling bark. The leaves and stems have a strong fragrance when cut. Makes a perfect candidate for succulent bonsai. Easy to grow. Likes bright light or full sun. Water regularly during the growing season. Keep dry when it drops its leaves in the fall. Protect from frost.Young plants tend to be long and straight, but can be easily trimmed and trained to make a caudiciform bonsai.
