Over time the stem will get taller and taller and will branch from the base and the stems themselves.  The leaves are long, wavy and very thick.   The leaves form in the spring and summer and the plant grows until fall.  In the fall it goes dormant and drops the leaves.  Similar care to the other tropical Euphorbia species.  Normal succulent watering in summer, keep dry in winter when it drops its leaves.
