Adenia viridiflora Family: Passifloraceae. Also known as A. heterophylla. One of the few Adenia species not native to Africa, this species is found in Southeast Asia. This is a big specimen of this wonderful caudciform vine closely related to Passion Flowers (sorry, these have tiny flowers!). The caudex is conical shaped and produces numerous vines with attractive dark green leaves that are both lobed and twisted slightly. The vines will grow several feet long during the summer but will die back to the caudex in the winter. When it goes dormant keep dry over the winter then water again when it warms up in the spring. Should be able to take full sun, but watch for sunburn until it is acclimated to your situation. During the growing season water regularly. Protect from frost.
You will receive the plant shown in the first three images. It is shown growing in a 6.5" pot. Caudex is approximately 9" tall x 6" diameter. It is fairly heavy necessitating a higher shipping cost.
Important Shipping Information
- PLANTS ARE SHIPPED BARE ROOT If you want me to send them in pots send me a message to discuss. Extra charges due to increased shipping costs will apply.
- Immediate Payment (eBay only) Sorry! I can no longer offer a delayed purchase option as the multichannel inventory management system I have started using requires this setting.
- No Delayed Shipping (eBay only) Once you pay I have to (and WILL) ship within 3 business days or eBay will lower my seller rating. I used to have a way to delay shipping but can no longer do this for the same reason as #2 above. Feel free to message me before buying to see if we can figure something out here, no promises though.
- Winter Shipping If you live in a cold climate consider including a 96 hour heat pack in your order during the cold months. I have them as a listing. Just add it to your order. If you don’t see them just message me.
