Agave kavandivi Family: Agavaceae. A newly discovered species from Oaxaca, Mexico first named and described in 2013! This is a handsome smaller species that reaches 1-2 feet in diameter. It is related to A. dasylirioides and A. stricta. The leaf width is roughly in the middle of those two species. The leaves are narrow and light green with pointed tips. Plants clump readily when mature. Easy to grow. Likes standard Agave care of bright light, well draining soil and watering when nearly dry. Not a frost hardy species.
