Conophytum uviforme Family: Aizoaceae. A cute Lithops relative with rounded blue green leaves. Like most plants in this group it produces leaves in pairs, usually one pair per year, although they are so fused together they look like a single leaf. Will form offsets in time forming nice clumps. Easy to grow as long as you don't overwater it. Protect from frost and hot afternoon sun.
The biggest difference between Conophytum and Lithops is that Conophytum is a winter growing plant. They are active from early fall until late spring or early summer. They then go dormant during the summer. Water regularly (for a succulent) during the growing season then stop watering in the summer (maybe a little water once a month). You know the plants are dormant when the leaves dry up (looks dead but isn't). These dry leaves form a cover over next year's growth. When ready to grow the new leaves will burst through the old leaves.
You will receive one of the plants shown in the last image or one similar. They are shown growing in a 3" pot.
Important Shipping Information
- PLANTS ARE SHIPPED BARE ROOT If you want me to send them in pots send me a message to discuss. Extra charges due to increased shipping costs will apply.
- Immediate Payment (eBay only) Sorry! I can no longer offer a delayed purchase option as the multichannel inventory management system I have started using requires this setting.
- No Delayed Shipping (eBay only) Once you pay I have to (and WILL) ship within 3 business days or eBay will lower my seller rating. I used to have a way to delay shipping but can no longer do this for the same reason as #2 above. Feel free to message me before buying to see if we can figure something out here, no promises though.
- Winter Shipping If you live in a cold climate consider including a 96 hour heat pack in your order during the cold months. I have them as a listing. Just add it to your order. If you don’t see them just message me.
